This book is the teacher´s guide for the “Yoga and Meditation for Children” program taught by Fran Rosen-Sawyer and Bonnie Maltby. Through yoga and meditation, we can lead our children through today´s dynamic world, offering them a way to deal with problems and stressful situations now and for the rest of their lives. Yoga and Meditation is a way of life. This book is a holistic approach to yoga as a way of life rather than a once a week course. It outlines yoga exercises and meditation techniques which will help children relax and find a peaceful place inside themselves. This eight-week course is an experience of sharing with others what we have, learning self-discipline, positive action and getting to know oneself. Expression is developed through art, music and creative writing. Our goal is a happy child. Thanks to simple scientific techniques, it will be possible to develop a healthy body, a calm mind and a spiritual awakening of children.
